We have been so spoiled when it comes to new horror in 2024. It is nearly impossible to catch everything in theaters. Luckily for all of us, so many new releases are already available. While we have pointed out once or twice that the Melissa Barerra-led Abigail is now dancing on Peacock, we figured we should also let you know what else you should be on the lookout for this month. Check out these 10 fresh 2024 horror movies now streaming!

The Devil’s Bath

Where You Can Watch: Shudder

In 1750, a shocking act may be a woman’s only way out of her husband’s world. The Shudder Exclusive is based on historical records. This 2024 title is hot off the press and has only been available for a few weeks.

Exhuma

Where You Can Watch: Shudder

A family hires people to investigate a generational curse. What starts as a grave excavation unleashes secrets and even more sinister entities. This might be the most beautiful movie I have seen this year. It is also creepy, cool, and vicious. Check out my review here.

Handling The Undead

Where You Can Watch: VOD

Three families are surprised to see their loved ones return from the dead on a hot summer day in Oslo. This is based on a novel of the same name by John Ajvide Lindqvist (Let the Right One In). This undead melodrama was not for me, but I know it will resonate with many people.

I Saw the TV Glow

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A classmate introduces a teen to a mysterious TV show that cracks their view of reality. Jane Schoenbrun (We’re All Going to the World’s Fair) is back with another movie that seems to be living rent-free in the hearts and minds of their fans. At long last, the film has arrived on VOD. So, anyone with $20 can see it without going outside now.

In A Violent Nature

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A group of teens take a locket that awakens the rotten corpse of Johnny. He is a vengeful and violent killer who will not rest until the locket is returned. This was a fun take on the slasher genre. It is definitely one of the 2024 new releases that have been talked about to death. So, obviously, it is time for another viewing.

Mind Body Spirit

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A wannabe yoga influencer picks up a ritual from her estranged grandmother. We are tired of influencer horror movies, but this one feels different. I cannot wait to check it out, even though I doubt any yoga scenes will compare to the one in In A Violent Nature. Namaste, indeed!

New Life

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A woman on the run tries to evade an agent on her trail. However, as the investigator closes in, more bodies pile up. I discovered this new horror thriller today, and it sounds like my kind of party. If there is one thing I have learned over the last few years, it is that the movie you never heard of is usually the underdog you have been looking for. So, I plan to buckle in post haste and see what is going on here.

The Strangers: Chapter 1

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A young couple spends the night in a remote cabin when their car breaks down. They soon find themselves terrorized by three masked strangers who kill for the fun of it. If you want to see the divisive installment, you can do it from the comfort of your couch. I am still waiting for it to stream for free somewhere before I think about tapping in. However, I support you all in your chaotic endeavors.

Tarot

Where You Can Watch: VOD

Friends unleash an evil trapped inside a cursed tarot deck. Speaking of divisive movies, this one upset many people on the timeline while finding a couple defenders. I plan to skip it, but I am excitedly listening to everyone’s opinion. So, drop me a line to let me know what side you land on if you check it out.

The Watchers

Where You Can Watch: VOD

An artist stranded in the forest finds shelter only to discover it is a trap. Now, she must work alongside three strangers as they are all stalked by mysterious creators of the night. This 2024 title was written and directed by Ishana Night Shyamalan. We love to see more WOC-helmed movies, so we were rooting for this one. If you meant to check it out, now is your chance.

That is just 10 new horror releases you can watch on TV this weekend. If your wallet still feels hefty, you can also pre-order A Quiet Place: Day One on many VOD sites. She is my favorite of the franchise so expect me to be annoying about that too! In the meantime, check out Jazz’s review.
