Horror Holiday Gift Guide // Gift Ideas for the horror lover in your life

Seasons Greetings! Shopping for gifts can be difficult on its own, and even more so if you’re trying to avoid Bezos or drop ship scams. We’ve curated a brief but comprehensive holiday gift guide for all types of horror lovers to keep their spirits bright.

For the artsy horror lover:

Indie artist Anni Jyn has prints to fit every taste, including an extensive TV & film collection featuring some iconic horror and generally creepy characters. Pair with a frame or gift alone; these works of art are perfect for the fan whose walls could use a little love.

For the fans with furry family:

Writer and artist Kathy Enriquez creates adorable cats-as-horror-characters stickers and pins, in addition to some adorable non-horror bag charms, totes, and books. We <3 our four legged family members almost as much as we love imagining them as Pennywise!

For the physical media collector:

As more streaming services become spotty with their availability of horror favorites, there’s never been a better time to start or build on a physical media library. Check your local stores – shoutout Videodrome in Atlanta for being a fantastic example – for great finds and good pricing. There’s plenty of new releases coming out on DVD and Blu-ray to add to your horror lovers’ collections too!

For when food is their love language:

Zach Neil’s Death for Dinner cookbook, available at Uncommon Goods and your local bookstores, is chock full of  “terror-tinged, plant-based munchies make your next dinner party deliciously macabre.” Pairs perfectly with a new chef’s knife!

If spirits of all types are more their speed, we also love Kimberly Elizabeth & Jonathan DeHaan’s Cocktails from the Crypt: Horror Film Libations. With 60 recipes to work through, this is a great way to warm up while watching something that sends chills down your spine.

For the cozy at home watcher:

If your horror head is more of a homebody, set them up with the ultimate in-house experience

  • A year of Shudder
The #1 streamer for all subgenres of what we love. Easily the best place to watch new releases, under the radar gems, and classics.
  • A soft, warm blanket – themed to their faves.
You can find plenty of licensed merch if your recipient has a specific character or movie they’d like the most, but we’re rec’ing Sin in Linen. Not only do they have a Shining throw with the Outlook’s ever-identifiable carpet pattern, they carry a variety of dark delights to snuggle into.
  • A mug for their drink of choice.
We like the options on Gutter Garbs, but check out the official shops of Netflix and NBC for more.
For those who crave beauty:
  • The much-coveted Nosferatur perfume from Heretic.
This sought-after scent is described as “An encounter with an apparition in the cold, damp caves of Count Orlok’s castle.” With notes of lilac, ambergris, oud, and more, this perfume is made for the dark romance girlies. We’ll take two, Master.
  • A palette from Lethal Cosmetics  Their newest offering is a tribute to The Conjuring series. In addition to gorgeous colors for eyes and lips, Lethal Cosmetics now lets you build your own palette! Their collections also include products for face and makeup brushes.
For the fan who shows their love via fashion:
  • Anything from Cavity Colors. Literally – anything. Their collections of shirts, hoodies, totes, sweatshirts, pins, socks, and accessories can cover any fan from severed head to toe. Shop by movie, or check out their Cavity Crypt for print-on-demand exclusives. (I need The Thing long sleeve ASAP.)
  • A cute scrunchie or sleep mask from The Needle Dead. Creator Beth has a small but cute collection of Halloween and creepy themed items to keep your hair up and your beauty sleep on lock.

Whether you’re trying to stuff their stocking or surprise them with a rare find, we wish you happy gift hunting. Don’t see something they’d love? Reach out to @glitterburrito on bluesky and I’ll help put some jingle to their bells.
