New Horror Hitting the Streaming Streets // Streaming Guide

Summer is here, y’all, and with it comes the usual offerings of blockbusters, overpriced popcorn, and the sweet air conditioning only available in multiplexes. But let’s be real: not everyone wants to drop twenty bucks every weekend just to sit behind someone texting through the climax. Some of us are keeping it cozy, keeping it cheap, and keeping the focus on horror from the comfort of our couch. Streaming is the way, and the latest releases provide plenty to keep up with.

Whether you’re in the mood for blood-drenched nostalgia (Final Destination: Bloodlines), a campy slasher creep (Clown in a Cornfield), or basking in Ryan Coogler’s vampire musical fever dream Sinners, streaming has you covered. (If you missed my deep-dive into Sinners themes of control, power, and freedom, you can read it here.)

Below, I’ve rounded up every horror movie newly streaming in June 2025, plus a few older faves that just hit platforms this month. Fire up your watchlist, turn the lights off, and let’s get into it.

New Horror to Stream This June

Sinners

Where You Can Watch: VOD

*Thee*  musical-horror from Ryan Coogler featuring Michael B. Jordan as twins. When the juke joint collides with Irish vampires, we all win. Surprising, innovative, and no, I won’t shut up about it.

Final Destination: Bloodlines

Where You Can Watch: VOD

The latest in the Final Destination saga. Nostalgia with a twist. Get your fill of cartoon levels of gore with the beloved franchise, a Tony Todd cameo, and a thread from the past into a new bloodline.

Clown in a Cornfield

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A teen-focused small-town slasher with a clown in a corn maze, this was brain candy for me. Bright visuals and comedic zingers made this worth the price of admission. It also has the Bloody Broads’ seal of approval.

I Heart Willie

Where You Can Watch: VOD

A Mickey Mouse slasher from the public-domain horror genre, filmed in Mexico? Sure, why not. Life is weird enough already. Maya Luna’s final-girl performance is a standout.

Classic & Critically Acclaimed Horror on Streaming

Us

Where You Can Watch: Netflix and Paramount+

Jordan Peele’s dual-performance psychological hit. In my opinion, it’s his most underrated. A must-watch.

Barbarian

Where You Can Watch: Netflix

Justin Long shines in this twisty thriller. One of Netflix’s top horror-thriller picks right now, and one of my top 10 horror movies of the last decade.

Hitchcockian Cinema

Where You Can Watch: Netflix

June brings a Hitchcock revival. Psycho, Frenzy, Rear Window, and Vertigo are all streaming. I suggest hosting a classic suspense night or two with period-appropriate cocktails…
